Oh praying for spring!

I can not wait for the warm weather to arrive and stay for good! Normally I love winter but year has been to dry and with to many people ill. Ugh!
However, It was gorgeous yesterday so I took the boys out to play for the afternoon!

While we were out I looked over most of the trees and found this...

One of our cherry trees is already putting off buds! It so pretty but we think they are coming out to early and we may not get any fruit this year.  But fingers crossed all will be fine!

We decorated Everything including the lights

This is Luke's new gun from his uncle Cameron. 
I painted a few paintings for my family. This was my first time working with oil paints so please don't be to harsh! ;)

This one was for my father. I also made a De Colores cross for my mother and a Tiffany blue themed cross for my sister. 

And the best part of this December.. It snowed!!

"Cookies?!"

No just Salt dough ornaments!

1/2 cup salt

1/2 water

1 cup flour

 spices if desired- we used cinnamon and nutmeg

 Mix well

 Roll out to around 1/4 inch

use cookie cutters to make your shapes or freehand like we did

Also keep your shapes fairly simple because your ornaments will bake up and out!

 Alex wanted to make a ball but I guess ours was to small. It cracked while baking so now we have pac man!

 Once they are cooled you can paint in your details!

This is at my papa's home in Perryton! We strung tinsel put up ornaments everywhere in honor of grandma
